FOC System & 3-Gear Speed
Many ASIWO sea scooters use a FOC (field-oriented control) motor system with a 3-gear speed layout. Together they improve how the scooter feels in the water compared with basic on/off thrusters.
What FOC does
Field-oriented control manages motor current for:
- More linear throttle response
- Stronger usable torque at lower speeds
- Quieter operation than many basic controllers
- Better driving efficiency that helps battery runtime
3-gear speed
Three selectable gears let you cruise gently for snorkeling, step up for exploration, or use a higher setting when you need more push. A smooth hull shape also helps cut hydrodynamic drag so each gear feels steady.
Battery and safety notes
- Secure battery locks help keep the pack seated and support waterproof performance when closed correctly
- Always follow the charge, depth, and age guidelines on your specific model’s product page
- Runtime varies by gear, diver size, current, and water temperature
Ergonomics
ASIWO scooters emphasize a stable pull and comfortable grip so you can focus on the view—not fighting the handle. Pair FOC smoothness with the right gear for a safer learning curve for new riders.
